The fruit of our labour

The fruit of our labour

Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:7-10)

O God of all creation, thank you for the strength to labour for the glory of Kenya. We reap what we sow, that is a Biblical principle proved true in our daily lives. The irony is, regardless of the insurmountable amount of evidence showing that you reap what you sow, human beings throughout the ages somehow still think you can plant evil and reap good. The Word of God is very clear, God is not mocked: what you sow you will definitely reap.

The glory of our homeland of Kenya is the people of Kenya: their culture, their values, their beauty, their faith. All these virtues do not just randomly begin to manifest in a population, someone has to consciously laboriously invest and sow seed to bring fr such fruit. The children of light in this nation can no longer sit on the sidelines and complain about the increasing prevalence of evil, they must set forth to sow seeds of righteousness in our children, in our families, in the workplace: wherever it is God has put you so righteousness and in due course you will reap the fruit thereof.

Prayer:

O God of all creation, arise and let you enemies be scattered. Father, arise and let you children arise with you. Cause us to arise from complacency and complaining, apathy and withdrawal; from perpetuating evil through our silence and fear. Father, speak to each one of us individually and collectively as the Body of Christ in this nation and cause us to begin and continue to sow seeds of righteousness henceforth. In Jesus Name, Amen
